Junior School have held their achievement assembly this morning for everything that’s been achieved in September. And what a busy month it was, so much so that the assembly overran!
Mrs Sly presented the certificates and prizes. She began with achievements outside of School. These included Iósaif who took part in a tennis tournament at David Lloyd gym, Sam who’s taken part in a football tournament and Tharusan who has passed his Grade 1 in Indian Drum with distinction.
Tomás recently took part in county cricket trials. He’s been selected and is now taking part in an 8 week training programme to see if he goes in to the county or development squad. Continuing the cricket theme, Will won six trophies at his cricket club awards night, including the Steve Burke award for making such an impact on the team.
Adam is a keen golfer and took part in the Derbyshire Futures Golf Tour, competing seven times across the county. He came 4th out of 90. An incredible achievement – well done. And George was a mascot in the recent Derby County vs Nottingham Forest football match.
We congratulated everyone who took part in the Sumdog multiplication challenge over half-term, where 1000 times-table questions had to be completed. The winner was Iósaif.
