Junior School Assembly this morning was full of anticipation as Mrs Jackson had invited along a very special guest to meet the boys.

Lambie is Derby Hospital’s charity mascot. And why was he with us this morning? Because on Sunday 3 December we are entering the Jingle Jog at Markeaton Park to raise money for the Royal Derby Hospital, particularly for the children’s wards.

This is our third year of entering a team in Jingle Jog. It is a fun morning out to get you in the Christmas spirit and help others at the same time.

Lambie, who is cousin of Derby County mascots Rammie and Ewie, spent some time with us and had his photograph taken with pupils who are part of this year’s team.

It’s not too late to join us. Visit www.derbygrammar.org/events/jingle-jog to find out more and register. And if you can’t join in the jogging team, we would love you to come along and watch, or to donate through our Just Giving page
