Charities Week was officially launched at school assembly this morning. This is one of our main fundraising activities of the year, where all proceeds raised go towards the Tanzania 2018 projects.

This year we are raising money to install a new water tower at the school to ensure the children continue to have clean water to drink. We are also hoping to build a further classroom to help reduce class sizes, which can currently be over 150!

The first competition was Jenga – a team of four Junior School pupils took on a team of four Junior School staff. The audience seemed to be mainly on the side of the pupils. After a tense few rounds Mrs Hamilton took up her position to remove the block – and the tower collapsed. Junior School pupils conquered in the first staff vs pupil competition of the week.

Other activities lined up for a fun-packed week include the crossbar challenge, golf challenge, bungee run, wear your team shirt to school day, cake sales and wet sponge throwing. The week culminates in the Snow White panto performances on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7pm. Tickets available at Reception.
