This week we were delighted to welcome our Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 boys back into School and it has been lovely to have some extra energy and laughter back in the building again.
We are blessed with both small classes and the space and resources to adhere to all social distancing measures so everyone has been safe and enjoying seeing each other, along with regaining a sense of some normality for these year groups.
You can see what they got up to on our Facebook page, including a fun socially distanced PE lesson with Mrs Sly.
Below are some of the wonderful comments we’ve received from parents and pupils:
“I just wanted to say thank you for making the boys first day back at school so enjoyable and for putting in all the arrangements. My son really enjoyed his first morning back.” Year 6 parent
“Thank you for today, our son really enjoyed being back and felt very safe.” Year 6 parent
“I just wanted to say what a huge positive difference the ‘Yr 6 teams IT development’ has made for my son.” Year 6 parent
“The lessons we had today were FABULOUS. I really enjoyed seeing everyone in class.” Year 6 pupil
“The best thing about being back is seeing my best friends, being outside and my lessons.” Year 1 pupil
“I’ve loved finally being able to talk to my friends face-to-face.” Year 6 pupil
“It’s great being back in a normal school environment.” Year 6 pupil
For those boys with understandable reasons to delay their return to school, they are enjoying the school-to-home Microsoft Teams support which has been put in place, ensuring no child is left behind. They too have benefitted from a sense of returning to the classroom – albeit virtually.
