Despite lockdown restrictions, Derby Grammar School pupils are continuing to work towards gaining their Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

Jeff in Year 10 has just achieved his Bronze Award, before returning to his native America this summer and we are so pleased that he can take his certificate back with him.

Meanwhile Gold Awards have been achieved by Rhea in Year 13 and also one of our former pupils Natalie Wood.

Mr Hilliam, the School’s DofE Manager, said: “We look forward to restarting our expedition programme next year.

“Meanwhile changes have been made to the Award requirements to help participants progress more easily during the current Covid crisis. Participants at all levels are encouraged to look at the DofE website for further details.”
