Two brothers have received great news in their respective areas of expertise.

Tom, in Year 7 has been offered a TV commercial, which he films Christmas weekend, and had a great trip to London on Sunday to be part of a short film for a top tv/film university. Tom loves acting and singing and was thrilled to be Drama scholar this year, he has been involved in acting and performing for a long time, his first big role was in the Jim Cartwright play Two at Derby Theatre a couple of years ago. He has performed as Benji in the UK tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert in January this year at Nottingham Royal, he appears in a film with Eddie Hall the world’s strongest man, recently he has filmed a student film for Middlesex University, and is due to film his TV advert at the end of the month.  Tom gets his auditions and roles through his agent Spotted Talent, throughout lockdown he has been self taping all of his auditions from home, with his latest audition for an American feature film.

His brother Sam, Year 8, will be taking part in Derbyshire County Cricket trials in January. Sam has played and competed in lots of sports, and is very proud to be a Sports Scholar. He has played cricket since Year 4, is a member at Quarndon Cricket Club and is currently playing U13. He loves bowling, although he’s practicing all his skills for his Derbyshire County trial coming up in January. He also enjoys athletics, and before lockdown was competing at 800m and long jump for Birchfield Harriers. He is a keen footballer as well and has plans to train as a referee next year when he is old enough.

Congratulations to both of the boys!
