Following the government’s announcement at 8pm last night, as of 9am this morning remote learning is up and running for every pupil, aged 3 to 18, at Derby Grammar School. This is despite our Primary School being set to open as normal this morning, but following the government’s short notice change to regulations our Primary School staff have gone above and beyond and at 9am this morning were online providing remote learning. This is alongside providing provision for any pupils who are eligible to join us on-site, those who are key worker or vulnerable children.

Our remote learning has an emphasis of little to no parental input, as the bulk of teaching is via interactive live lessons. We understand that many of our parents now have responsibilities to work from home themselves, and so ensuring the minimum amount of parental input is vital to them.

We will be sending regular updates of what pupils get up to with our weekly newsletter as well as updates on social media, so keep your eyes peeled for more.
