Hello and welcome to UCAS  & Careers news.

I’ll be keeping you regularly updated with the latest developments in university applications and Careers here at Derby Grammar.

We’ve had a very busy time in Year 13 Careers, and I’m happy to say that every pupil’s UCAS application was sent off before Christmas. This is in plenty of time for the ‘equal consideration’ deadline, and students have already started to receive offers from Universities. We look forward to being part of their exciting journey.

Year 10 has also been thinking about their choices for the future. Students have been looking at the qualities required for employment in various sectors along with constructing CVs. As part of this, Miss Stockton and I planned “An Introduction to University”; this gave students the opportunity to investigate courses, entry requirements and specific university applications. This was a great session that engaged all boys and provided a starting point for their long term career paths.
