We’re delighted to announce a fantastic schedule of free virtual Primary School events for you to enjoy!

These sessions are for Nursery and Primary age children to enjoy. They all include fun activities which can be done at home, following the activities will be a short discussion with staff about how you can best support your children in specific curriculum areas.

Once you have booked onto the sessions, you will receive log-in links a day prior to the event.

Beat box! Wednesday 21 April, 4.30pm Music at Derby Grammar School in association with Hot House Music. This session is open to all primary age pupils. Mr Eno will be teaching the children rhythm, how to keep a beat and learn a sequence.
Story Time! Wednesday 28 April, 4.30pm Mrs Monk and Mrs Butterworth will be reading a boy-centred story, followed by an explanation of how parents can best support their boys in learning to read. This session is for children looking to join in EYFS or Key Stage 1.
Get Physical! Wednesday 5 May, 4.30pm My Smyth will be putting boys through their paces with activities, keeping the boys councing with fun and using up some of that boundless energy! This session is open to all primary age pupils.
Class Act! Wednesday 12 May, 4.30pm Mrs Simpson and Mrs Genders will be bringing out your boys’ dramatic side with fun activities to encourage speech and language skills. This session is for children looking to join in Key Stage 2.
Forest Fun! Wednesday 19 May, 4.30pm Our specialist qualified Forest School teacher, Mrs Hill, will be showing some activities boys can do at home to make the most of their outdoor spaces. This session is open to all primary age pupils.
Let’s Fly! Wednesday 26 May, 4.30pm Mrs Robinson will be bringing out the boys creativity with her specialist DT knowledge, encouraging the boys to come up with the best designs and test their skills at home. This session is open to all primary age pupils.
