Hannah Prince completed her degree in German at the University of Exeter on leaving Derby Grammar School. She then went on to complete her MSc International Business Management at Durham University. Having completed the business management graduate scheme at Babcock International, and then moving into a procurement role in the organisation, in 2017 she joined 4C Associates as a Procurement Consultant.
“I was very excited to be one of the pioneering girls joining Derby Grammar School when it first open its doors to girls in the Sixth Form. Having previously attended Derby High School, I’d already spent time at DGS for events, such as being part of the Joint Choral Society, so was already familiar with the environment.
I joined Derby Grammar School as it is a forward thinking school which puts students and their development at the forefront of everything they do. There were so many opportunities available that I don’t think I would have found anywhere else.
As a Sixth Form student I was given the freedom to manage my own time and choices within School which enabled me to understand time management and prioritisation, skills that are vital at University and in the workplace. My role as a Prefect gave me added responsibility, from which I gained a lot.”
Favourite memory: undoubtedly the Berlin trips with Mr Watson, but also the many productions we staged, as well as the Children in Need nights. They were always a lot of fun!
