If you are new to the area or are considering a change of school for your child, we would love to show you what a Derby Grammar School education has to offer.

Changing schools mid-year can be quite an anxious time for pupils and parents but we are here to hold their hand and yours. Pupils change schools for a number of reasons; families relocating, pupils who need to be academically stretched and challenged or are experiencing gaps in their learning, or pupils that are looking for a more holistic education.  Whatever the reason, our experienced Academic and Pastoral Teams will work together to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible and that your child immediately feels part of our warm and welcoming community.

At Derby Grammar School we believe it’s important for children to want to be here and feel excited about the move to their new school. That’s why we arrange for them to experience taster day/s prior to joining.
