Individual successes:
Headmaster Alistair Bond said:
“This cohort of students began their Secondary School journey at the very moment the pandemic turned education upside down. Overnight, classrooms closed, lessons became remote, and the social and emotional foundations that are so vital in those early years of secondary education were removed. These students have arguably faced the greatest disruption and adversity to their studies and development since the war years. Coming through this experience but achieving these results is a true testament to their perseverance, their adaptability, and their determination to succeed. They have shown maturity beyond their years, and their achievements also reflect the tireless commitment of their teachers and the unwavering support of their families. We could not be prouder of the resilience and character they have displayed. These results are not just grades on a page — they represent years of effort, challenge and triumph, and they mark the beginning of the next exciting chapter for each of these young people".
Derby Grammar School continues to celebrate both academic results and the wider personal growth of its pupils, preparing them for life beyond the classroom.
